For well over ten years now, one of my favorite actors--and people--has been a gentleman named Lon Gary. I admired him so much that when he went to New York City with a show called A Stoop on Orchard Street, I flew up to see him. It was a fabulous, engaging trip that lingers precious and sweet in my memory.
He died yesterday, at only 58.
He was a good, honorable man, his very being soaked with integrity and talent.

This pictures is from a Circle Players (Nashville) production of The Boys Next Door. Lon is the one on the left side of the couch, in the white shirt and khakis.
I will miss him. And I hope, somewhere, he is still making people laugh and passing on a lifetime of wisdom.
It's been a long month. Lots of changes. When such a change makes the national business news, you know you're going to do well...or your behind could be in a sling.
This trusting God stuff is a lot harder than it looks. Or maybe I'm just a latent control freak.
Details later.
